You know what, I never thought I would be able to say this but we are actually getting close to finishing the project. The end is now in sight as we prepare to finish up the last of the pieces and start testing.
I expect that we will be ready to test in the next 2 weeks. I estimate that we will need at least 2 weeks to test and fix all of the many bugs that we are bound to find with a system this big.
Actually… Its enormous. That definitely a better way to describe
it. Why I agreed to put myself through constructing something of this
size and magnitude without an entire team of developers… I have no
idea. Never again will that happen. You know what they say, fool me
once….
This system combines all of the following into one turn-key, automated system:
- Domain Registrar
- DNS Control Panel
- Email Control Panel
- Content Management System for the web site
- Contact Management System for following up with contacts
- Email broadcasting
- Campaign tracking
- Web site traffic stats
- Site is generated automatically with customized professional content already in it
- Marketing resource center
- …and most of these things are made so brain dead easy that a child could manage a site
We are getting ready to release this thing in the public in
February. What a relief that will be for me to be able to say we are
finishing developing this beast.
