Last performance:
Quinn completed 20-of-36 passes for 319 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.
2006 Season Stats:
Passing: 1,086 YDS | 11 TD
Rushing: -3 YDS | 1 TD
4 INT | 58.2 CMP% Here is what Bill Curry had to say about this weeks Heisman Watch…
“Every time I drop Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn from my list, he participates in another minor miracle … but this one, making Charlie Weis cry? Best I’ve seen from Brady. He showed grit and leadership in the Irish’s comeback at Michigan State on Saturday.”
My Take:
Brady Quinn looked like the quarterback everyone was expecting to see this year with the exception of one bad play. The interception he threw was not only a bad decision but a flat out terrible pass. He missed his own receiver by a couple years and threw it right into the hands of the Michigan State defender. Anyways, if we could wipe that play from the game, it would have been as close to a “perfect” game Quinn could have had.
Unfortunately, he still needs help to get back to the front of the Heisman Race. By playing well in the rest of their game leading up to USC and putting up a great performance to beat USC, he could still win the Heisman. But he needs for Ohio State to either lose a game or for Troy Smith to just have a bad day like Quinn had.
It not impossible for this to happen so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how things develop the rest of the year.
